What is happening?
In July, 2022 Nearside is transitioning bank partners and at that time Banking services will be provided by Piermont Bank. A new checking account and routing number will automatically be issued to you. A virtual card will be available to you while a new debit card is sent automatically. Please note that your current account number and debit card will no longer work after this transition.
What should I expect during this transition?
Starting the week of July 25, 2022, the following features will be temporarily unavailable:
physical card purchases, updating user settings, mailing physical checks, and instant deposits.
We’ll keep you posted as these features come back throughout the summer.
Starting in July, everyone with a Nearside Business Checking account will have a new account and routing number and will need to update their banking information on recurring transfers. To avoid missing any recurring payments or transfers, this should be done as soon as possible.
If you do not update your new account and routing number by August 1, 2022, all ACH and other bank transfers using your old account number will be declined.
Where can I find my new account and routing numbers for my Nearside Business Checking account?
Starting the week of July 25, 2022, we will provide you with a new bank account and routing number issued by Piermont Bank, Member FDIC. You will be able to find these in your dashboard.
Once you receive your new account information, please update everywhere you send or receive ACH payments immediately (ex: payroll, point-of-sale, recurring bill payments, etc.). If you do not update your new account and routing number by August 1, 2022, all ACH and other bank transfers using your old account numbers will be declined.
Will I get a new debit card for my Nearside Business Checking account?
Yes! We will send you a new card in the mail to the mailing address associated with your account.
Your new physical debit card replacement should arrive around mid-August, but you will receive a virtual debit card on July 25, 2022 for online purchases.
Once you receive and activate your new card, your virtual card will automatically be deactivated. Cardholders should activate their new cards as soon as they are received.
What if I don’t want to continue using my Nearside Business Checking account?
We're sorry to hear that! If you don’t want us to transition your account, please transfer funds out of your Nearside bank account and notify us before July 24, 2022, to close your account.
